High School Ministry

Pastor Brent Cummings oversees our High School Ministry here at SMBC. Our Youth Ministry exists to help students discover and respond to God’s love, experience life changing community, and seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Fuel is our Sunday night high school youth group.
These nights consist of worship, fellowship, a devotional and and
various games and activities.
Fuel is open to all high school students
and the youth are encouraged to bring their friends.
FUEL meets on Sunday Evening
from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Filling Station
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
-Proverbs 3:5-6

 5th Quarter

5th Quarter is a time and place for high school students to hang-out
with their friends after home football games. The Fellowship Center is open
with a variety of activities such as open-gym space, video games,
pool, air-hockey, differing bounce house games, and a movie.
The night includes all-you-can-eat pizza and soda.
Cost to get in is $5 and requires
a valid high school student ID.
5th Quarters occur on Friday nights following home football games from 10:00pm to midnight in the Fellowship Center.

Small groups are a more intimate time of studying God’s Word and discussing
how it applies to our lives in an applicable way.
There are separate groups for guys and girls as well as different age groups.
Groups are led by adult youth workers.
Small groups typically meet on Wednesday evenings. Please contact Pastor Brent for meeting times and locations for the group that applies to you or your student.

Our high school youth typically attends Hartland Christian Camp in the summer
and Hume Lake Christian Camp in the winter.
Camp is a time spent in the mountains where students
have the opportunity to experience God through sound Biblical teaching
and worship through music.
Camp also provides a wide range of fun activities, events, and organized recreation.
Please check the events calendar or contact Pastor Brent for the upcoming dates, deadlines, and information.
